Happy Six Month Birthday Emsley!

It is as if I blinked and entered the future..Where has the last six months gone? Emma is growing (and growing) into such an amazing little girl! She has a very strong personality, I think she may even have a bit of a temper every now and again...She and Olyvia share the same diapers and most clothing now..I am still amazed that we made her...She is a part of us...what a miracle! Emma eats baby food and rolls over on her own. We are working on getting her to sit by herself..we are almost there! She is more alert than ever, and loves watching her sister.
If Emma is awake..you will see her smile...always...she has a special aura about her, one look and she will steal your heart...I love you baby girl!

Week in the Country......

We decided to take the girls camping in Indiana. We went with my sister Carla and her children...We had a blast! Olyvia and Emma both went swimming and actually had fun after about an hour. We could not get Olyvia out of the pool. I think it helped having the cousins around so she could see the "fun" invovled in a giant bath tub!

Livy and Emma had an opportunity to see farm animals, (Cows and horses) and Livy even got to sit on a horse! I was so certain she would be frightened, yet once again she surprised me! Her eyes grew to the size of golf balls and she kept saying, "Nayyyyyyyyyy".. She continued to wait for the horse to speak back and it did not happen....She proceeded to talk to him in horse language and it appeared she was was estactic!!

Olyvia also had her first painting session with her cousins...she is so artsy...so creative...

Oh..I cannot forget...she also had her FIRST S'MORES! Woo-Hoo!! She loved it!!

Emma is used to her helmet, it has become a part of her...she looks so cute in it!

We are going to try one more family vacation before the summer ends....I love these memories...The facination and wonder I see through my girls eyes keeps my energy levels high and my love for them grow..

Emsley's TUTU Photo Shoot

My sweet sweet Emsley was diagnosed with a common health factor in children called, Brachycephaly. Cranial Technologies, where she will be seeing a specialist, defines this as: "something as simple as sleeping on the back can cause brachycephaly. The head flattens uniformly, causing a wider and shorter shape. Increased head height is also common in children with brachycephaly"...The reason Emsley may have Brachycephaly is uncertain but could be due to her being born "Sunny Side Up", her 3 1/2 week early delivery, or other medical issues that were unclear during my pregnancy. All of this and my Emma sleeps like a princess throughout the night, 12 hours!! Monday Emma will wear a helmet for approximately 4-5 months..This helmet will help correct her condition, and allow her to lift her head easier, as she is so top heavy she has a hard time keeping that head up!!

I had to get photos of Emma, almost six months before her new accessory, and before her face is forever changed...

Is she not the cutest Gerber baby ever???????????

Olyvia updates!

We are quickly approaching the one year anniversary of "GOTCHA DAY"...I am in awe at how quickly this year has flown by, and perfectly content at how my life has changed in a single year. In one year I have lost sleep, my brain, drunken stupid nights out but happily gained two beautiful, bright, free spirited girls...

Every day Olyvia surprises me, especially with her language...She is now enrolled in Kindermusik, which she loves...she is the youngest in her class, but the biggest ham! Music is definielty her "thing"...She has such rythum and loves, LOVES to dance! She even sings now...In class she learned, "A Hoy There Mate"...and we catch her singing this often...Livy's new favorite movie, "The Little Mermaid", which she calls "Ariel", grabs her attention like no other and she attempts to sing each song played...she is so cute!!
Olyvia also counts to ten, can pick out blue, red, yellow and orange...as well as sing just about the entire alphabet! She is now learning her shapes, and being the ham she is, Liv attempts to learn the hardest shapes first, her favorite..."OCTAGON". I just laugh!!

We are debating sending her to school in the Fall. Her intelligence level is so incredible that we were told she is the perfect candidate, but I am not sure if I am ready for that....I never want these early days to end, and the thought of "School" just scares me to death. I am leaning towards waiting until next year when she is three, but we will see...I am not ready for my babies to leave their nest. Does anyone no of a way to keep them young forever????????

On any note, Olyvia is doing just great. She is out going, funny, free spirited, beautiful and so much more....I cannot pick out ONE characteristic that describes her, as their are so many...Me, I am just lucky...

First Trip to the Carnival!!!!!!!!!!

We went to our first carnival!! Olyvia, did not take to the rides as well as I would have liked, but I think she is just too little this year!! She did however LOVE elephant ears, cotton candy and corn on the cob!! Emma on the other hand is my laid back baby...she smiles at just about anything, and she just enjoyed being outside! Loving the memories we are making this summer!!
