My answered Prayer...

Miss Olyvia........

Two and a half years old...where does the time go? Every second of every day you amaze me. How far you have come my love, and what an intelligent, sweet, and loveable girl you are becoming. You enlighten me and I hope that one day you will know that. What do I love most about this age? I love how everything amazes you...a birdhouse in a tree made you smile on our walk yesterday. You asked, "the birdies live there Mommy?"..so cute...Every morning you run outside and look at our flowers...today some bloomed and you screamed, "They bloomed Mommy, our Thumbalina Flower bloomed!"...This, was priceless...Every little thing amzes you, and I love watching the innocense in your eyes as you learn all about nature..all about life, really.
What I dislike most about this age, well your independence. As much as I love watching you "BLOOM", it saddens me how short these years really are...You are amazing, and I hope you never forget that.
Thank you for being such a wonderful big sister and daughter....

A Gift from God, a true Miracle....

My Emsley....

How time flies...Although I am with this little girl every day, it is hard for me to believe she is 15 months old. I look at life so much differently since giving birth to her. From this little peanut of a new born, she is growing so quickly. What do I love the most about Emsley at this age? Her growing personality. She is funny, so funny. Emsley is laid back, but when upset, a hidden temper surfaces. She is walking, well cruzing as she tries desperatly to keep up with her big sister. She climbs stairs, every level of the house, and Mommy now has five gates throughout to help shield her from potential falls. She is learning sign language, her vocabulary is small, but age appropriate. She says, "Mamma, Dadda, juice, this, more, Livy, Bailey, and Grace"...
Emsley's appearance has changed drastically over the last 15 months...Have you seen her curls? She is gorgeous, just gorgeous. She has a smile, that will melt your heart..I am blessed to have such a sweet, sweet girl. She is a cuddler, and always wants to be held. She will lay in my arms for hours and is just so content. I love this.
Emsley also has a playful side to her, and is very independent. She must do everything on her own. If you try to help her eat, color or just about anything she will refuse your assistance with a bit of anger.
Although my life is much busier and hectic with the laughter of Emsley in my life, I have never been happier...

A Weekend Trip to the Country.....

While our kitchen rehab is being done we have spent many of our days the past few weeks in Indiana. The look on their faces as we exited our vehicle was priceless. Olyvia definitly remembered coming last year, and ran directly to the park, Emsley just smiled and followed along...While we unpacked the car we heard the two laughing and giggling together. They also met a few freinds while they were there!

This weekend was also Mothers Day Weekend, so I enjoyed every moment. The only gift I wanted this weekend was to be with my kids, as much as possible. I succeeded.

This was the first year Emsley saw in person cows, a llama, chickens, and lightning bugs! She also rode in a golf cart for the first time, they LOVED IT!!
Jim taught the girls baseball, while I sat back, secretly scared to death. Olyvia and Emsley seemed to enjoy it well.
We ate, we laughed, and went to bed saying our "I love yous"..it was a great weekend..B.T.W... Neither child liked Yogi Bear, perhaps next weekend?? hmhmhmhm

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to ALL!!

I never fully appreciated Mother's Day, until now...
We spent Mother's Day in Indiana. I had no request to sleep in late, get a manicure, or sinply read a magazine. I only wanted to spend a full day with the girls, concentrating solely on "mommy and me" time..The girls made individual magnets for me, it was incredibly cute...Emsley was able to see live cows, horses and donkeys for the very first time. If you ask her what a cow says, she says "mooooo" with a smile. You have to really hear how she says "Moooooo" to appreciate it, it sounds more like "mowwwwwwwwwwwww"...Olyvia enjoyed playing in the park, taking golf cart rides and feasting on cookies and cupcakes, this weekend was officially marked as "bad food week"....
Overall, this Mother's Day was more enjoyable then the last and I can only predict that as each year approaches, I will find a hundred reeasons why each Mother's Day is better then the last...
Who would ever of thought my Best Friends would be my daughters.....

.............I also gave thanks once again to Olyvia's birth mother who gave me the grandest of all gifts...the opportunity to become a mother to one of the most beautiful, intelligent and sweetest girls in the World. I pray she remains strong and healthy wherever she is...I also thanked God for answering my prayer and giving me my miracle child.................

Mommy loves you girls!

I am hoping to purchase a computer in the next few days so I can post updated photos, they are just growing so quickly!!
